New Staff at Minaret Foundation

Fatima Shah joins us as our Administrative Coordinator. Fatima is pursuing her Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Learning, Design, and Technology. She enjoys building friendships and is ambitious about learning. While she’s not working, her favorite hobby is traveling.

Raha Jafari joins us as our Outreach and Program Manager. Raha has her Master’s in Human Resource Development from the University of Houston. She has a passion for helping people and the community. She loves to travel and spend quality time with her family in her free time.

Summer 2023 Interns

We have been blessed at Minaret Foundation to have worked with some INCREDIBLE interns! Our 2023 Summer/Fall cohort is shaping up to be no exception! We are excited to welcome the following college students to our team for the semester: 

Gianni Jackson is a sophomore Political Science student attending North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Her passion for politics and criminal law and a desire to fight injustices has led her to want to become a defense attorney. She enjoys writing, relaxing, and hanging out with friends in her free time.

Imran Umrah is a first-generation college student at Arizona State University pursuing a degree in Political Science with a certificate in Political History and Leadership and a minor in Political Economy. His passion is reading nonfiction and political literature.

Maya Thakur is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Government at the University of Texas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching tv and movies, and spending time with her family and friends.

Owen DeFao is pursuing a bachelors of arts degree at Boston College, where he is a part of the Pre-Law program, double-majoring in Economics and Classics, focusing on economic and legal issues. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with friends and family, especially going to the mountains to ski and hike in new areas.

Sumer Brito is a University of Texas at Austin student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Global Studies, Government, and Middle Eastern Studies, with a minor in Arabic and Global Management. Sumer enjoys traveling and running a fashion magazine.

Saying Farewell

With sad hearts, we announce that Noor Saleh has left Minaret Foundation. Noor is taking a big step toward her bright future by starting law school at the University of Texas! We are PROUD of all Noor accomplished at Minaret- from intern to Government Relations Coordinator. She leaves a big hole behind her!
