Let's change our world together

Gun Safety Healthcare Policy (GSHP) Committee:

The Gun Safety Healthcare Policy Committee (GSHP) is a dedicated group made up of people of faith that convenes virtually once a month to address the critical issue of gun safety. Our committee’s primary focus is to engage in thoughtful and collaborative discussions about specific gun safety initiatives driven by healthcare managers and workers. This specific policy will provide guidelines for family practice physicians and pediatricians to engage adult patients in a conversation about gun safety and provide a resource for more information, along with  complimentary gun locks.

The GSHP committee plays a pivotal role in shaping and advocating for gun safety policies that positively impact our city and beyond. Composing a diverse group of healthcare workers, stakeholders in the healthcare industry, or people in academia, this committee serves as a strategic nexus where innovative ideas converge with real-world experience.
