The Religious Freedom Public Policy (RFPP) Committee is a dedicated group made up of people of faith that convenes virtually once a month to address the crucial issue of religious freedom. Our committee focuses on engaging in thoughtful discussions about religious freedom public policies and providing valuable advice for developing future bills.
The RFPP Committee recognizes the importance of protecting and promoting religious freedom as a cornerstone of society. We believe that every individual should have the right to practice their faith freely and without harm. By gathering experts and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds, our committee aims to collaborate on initiatives that safeguard and advance religious freedom.
Qualifications for the Religious Freedom Public Policy (RFPP) Committee:
- Understanding or willingness to understand Religious Freedom: Committee members should have a strong understanding or willingness to understand religious freedom as a legal and human rights concept. They should be knowledgeable or willing to be knowledgeable about the frameworks that protect religious freedom.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about Policy Development: Committee members must be familiar with or willing to learn about the policy development process.
- Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication and collaboration skills are helpful for committee members to actively participate in discussions, share their perspectives, and contribute constructively to the committee’s work.
- Ethical Conduct and Confidentiality: Committee members should adhere to high ethical standards.
