Our December program is specially designed to address a topic that has been present in our lives, but especially so in these past few weeks. You will hear from changemakers who have strong connections to women who have led towards positive change in terms of conflict.
Dr. Danna Kurtis works with Jerusalem Peacebuilders, bringing young Israelis and Palestinians in the West Bank together through curated programming, and has been at the forefront of conflict resolution. Recently, their affiliate, Al-Ahli Arab Hospital, was bombed in Gaza.
Asia Anderson is a grassroots organizer and recently worked on a documentary called “A Town Called Victoria”, which is a series of films featured on PBS covering the arson of the Islamic Center of Victoria and how the city came together to help Muslims rebuild and heal.
The Muslim Women’s Forum is a platform that addresses social, cultural, economic, and political challenges Muslim women face through interactive discussions with key changemakers. We aim to create a platform that nurtures personal growth, fosters meaningful connections, and catalyzes positive change.
